The Place Saturday has arrived, Another week I have survived. Monday through Friday don't compare, To where I am about to go -- another world is there. After parking the car, I enter knowing this place to be a trap, They ask me to go and so many times I pass. Because I know it's so easy for them to stay all day, So when I agree, I know that's how long I must stay. There are so many things for them to do, So many things from which to choose. I sit there so bored waiting for it to end, Famished for a meal, I am told to wait again. Time goes by slowly -- finally we can go home for dinner, But the boredom isn't over yet -- there’s a fashion show to pick the winner, The rest of the clothes to be returned at a later date, Oh, yes, this is the place that I truly hate. It's known so well to one and all, The place is called -- the outlet mall! ©Copyright - Elizabeth Wrobel (2000) | Life On The Information Superhighway Log online to look for a website, Try a search engine if the URL isn’t right, Getting lost is so common that, People often find themselves in chat, Soon you run out of things to say, Oh, life on the information superhighway. Follow Your Heart Your journey will start, When you begin to follow your heart, When you believe in what you can do, When you find that dream inside of you. You lie awake letting your imagination soar all night, With thoughts and ideas racing faster than the speed of light. You lose concentration at school, Going to the moon would be so cool, Standing on stage singing with a band, Flying through the clouds would be so grand, Write a novel for everyone to read, Or paint a picture for the world to see. Set your goals high, You’ll never reach them unless you try, All your dreams can come true, But it’s all up to you. ©Copyright - Elizabeth Wrobel (2000) |
